-
Carly Nelson is second among Pac-12 goalkeepers with 27 saves this season
- Utah ranked fourth in the Pac-12 last season with 27 goals (1.4 per contest)

Haylee Cacciacarne led Utah with five assists in 2017 and also scored Utah's first Pac-12 goal of the season at No. 2 UCLA
WEEKEND RECAP
Utah Soccer notched the 250th win in program history with a 3-0 victory over Utah State on Monday evening.
Hailey Skolmoski,
Paola van der Veen and
Tavia Leachman all scored for the Utes. It was the first goal of Leachman's career, while juniors
Kristin Fairbairn and
Natalie Kump both notched their first collegiate points.
This result was after a frustrating Deseret First Duel defeat by BYU, 3-2. After falling behind by a pair of goals, Van der Veen and Skolmoski both got on the score sheet to draw Utah level before BYU got a winner.
HALL OF FAME FOR FEIGT
Amanda Feigt, a dual sport athlete for Utah, competed in both soccer and track and field. Feigt began her career by being named Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year in 2003 on her way to all-conference honors. She was named the MWC Offensive Player of the Year as a junior and was a two-time NSCAA all-region honoree. She is the only Ute in program history to earn First Team All-Conference honors in four consecutive seasons.Â
In the classroom, she was a MWC Scholar Athlete and currently sits second all-time in program history with 22 assists, fifth all-time in total points and seventh in goals scored. During her four seasons, the Utes reached the postseason every year, advancing to the NCAA Second Round as a senior.Â
LATE GOALS COSTING UTES
Utah has suffered three losses on the season to Minnesota, BYU and at No. 19 Kansas. A common thread has occurred in those contests, a late goal allowed by the Utes. In the opener, Utah allowed a goal with 13 seconds remaining to the Golden Gophers. At KU, the Jayhawks tied it in the 86th minute and won it in overtime. Last week, BYU scored in the 85th minute after Utah rallied from two goals down.
PO PICKS UP PAIR OF HONORS
Paola van der Veen was an All-Pac-12 performer last season and named All-West Region by the United Soccer Coaches.
A native of The Netherlands, Van der Veen responded to an injury-plagued sophomore season with an outstanding junior year. Van der Veen finished fourth in the conference with eight goals and fifth in the league with 20 points, pacing the Utes in both categories.
This was the second Pac-12 postseason honor for Van der Veen. She earned a spot on the All-Freshman team in 2015 when she paced Utah with six assists, ranking sixth in the Pac-12.
SERIES HISTORY
Utah and Oklahoma have tied their previous two meetings. The squads played out identical 1-1 draws in 2013 at Ute Field and 2014 in Norman. Utah is 11-6-2 vs. teams from the Big 12 after falling at No. 19 Kansas earlier this season. The Utes were unbeaten in their last eight contests against Big 12 teams going back to 2008 prior to that result. Utah owns a 7-0-1 mark at Ute Field against Big 12 foes.
Utah is 1-1 vs. Nevada with both games at Ute Field. The last meeting was a 1-0 loss in 2011. Utah is 86-27-13 all-time vs Mountain West opponents, with a 45-8-6 mark at Ute Field. Utah defeated Utah State 3-0 on Monday in Logan.Â
