NELSON NAMED PAC-12 GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Carly Nelson was named the Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Week on Sep. 24 after a pair of shutouts against Butler and San Diego.
The Ute stopper combined with Utah's defense to blank its last four opponents in non-conference play. This was the longest shutout streak for a Ute defense since the 2006 season (9 games)
The senior from Lindon leads the Pac-12 with 58 saves, seven shutouts (14th nationally), an .843 save percentage (29th nationally) and 1152.57 minutes played (20th nationally).
Nelson's 20 career shutouts place her third all-time in Utah history and she needs 39 saves to crack the top five in that category.
This was the 16th Pac-12 weekly award for Utah Soccer and fourth for Nelson

Holly Daugirda scored her team-leading third goal of the season in Utah's 1-1 draw with Oregon State on Thursday evening. The Utes stayed undefeated at home with a 2-0 result on Sunday. Ireland Dunn scored her first goal of the year before Emali Mackinnon netted for the first time in her career after earning her first start as a Ute.
