2018: Pac-12 All-Academic selection … started first 11 games before suffering season-ending injury … registered five shots, including a pair in a win at Utah State and Pac-12 opener at Oregon … played every minute in every game before sustaining setback in first half at Arizona State
2017: Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention ... played in every game for the Utes … played every minute of 10 contests, including 110 minutes vs BYU … registered an assist in a contest at No. 2 UCLA … scored in a win over North Dakota State … assisted on goal in win over South Dakota State … registered assist in draw vs. Arizona State … registered six shots
2016: Started every game at outside back for the Utes … assisted on equalizer at No. 22 Colorado … picked up helper in first collegiate game vs. Weber State … also had an assist in win over San Diego … had a personal-high of two shots in games vs. No. 10 BYU and No. 7 USC in the NCAA Tournament … played every minute in 13 contests, including the last six matches of the season
Prior to Utah: Gwerder ranked as the No. 6 player in the Pacific Northwest and No.128 nationally by Top Drawer Soccer after competing in the 2015 Nike National Training Camp. She led Washington Premier to a U18 2013 Rainier Challenge championship and the National ECNL Playoffs.
Gwerder was also an accomplished runner at Enumclaw. She was the captain of the cross country team, leading them to a district title and qualifying four years in a row of the state championships. She was also named the 2015 3A SPSL Female Athlete of the Year for her performances during the track season. She holds the school record in both the 200 and 400 yard dash.
Personal: She is the daughter of Paul and Judy and has three siblings, Jeremy, Carissa and Caleb. Aleea plans to pursue a degree in pharmaceutical or medical laboratory sciences. At Enumclaw, Gwerder was also a member of the Key Club, National Junior Honor Society, Junior Honor Guard, and Honor Roll while being named a Washington Principals' Scholar. She enjoys reading in her spare time on her family's dairy farm.
