LAS VEGAS - The Utah baseball team swept UNLV in a three-game series over the weekend with a final 11-5 victory today. The Utes also defeated the Rebels 5-2 and 10-9. The series boosts Utah to a 11-14 season record with a 4-2 conference mark.
In the final game of the Utah-UNLV showdown was played through 7.1 innings due to inclement weather. At the finish of the game, Utah led 15-5, but due to NCAA regulation only full innings are counted. The Utes led 11-5 going into the top of the seventh inning and thus maintained their victory.
