MATCH WEEK
The 19th-ranked Utah Utes return home to the Jon M. Huntsman Center on Thursday, Nov. 21, hosting the West Virginia Mountaineers at 7 p.m. MT. The Utes return to action on Sunday, Nov. 24, celebrating Senior Day at 12 p.m. MT, hosting the University of Cincinnati Bearcats.Â
Utah fans can tune in to ESPN+ on Thursday and Sunday to catch both matches this week. On the broadcast for Thursday's match will be Krista Blunk (PxP) and Victoria Dennis (analyst). Sunday's match against Cincinnati will be covered by Jim Watson (PxP) and Victoria Dennis (analyst).Â
QUICK HITS
• The Utes move up to #19 in week 12 of the most recent AVCA top 25 poll. Utah won both matches a week ago, defeating Houston (3-0) from the road, and coming up with their first reverse sweep since 2022, taking down UCF in dramatic fashion, 3-2.Â
 • Utah returned to the top 25 in the week seven poll this season. This marks the first time since coming in at 22nd in the preseason of the 2022 poll. The Utes crack the top 20 for the first time since closing out the final poll of the 2021 season at #18.Â
• The Utes spent three weeks in the receiving votes category, before cracking the top 25 in week seven at #20. Wk. 8 - #21, Wk. 9 - #22, Wk. 10 - #23, Wk. 11 - 20.Â
• As a team, Utah has averaged 14.0 kills per set with 12.9 assists per set. From the service line, the Utes are averaging 1.6 aces per set. On the defensive side of the net, Utah is posting 15.4 digs per set with 2.3 blocks per set.
• With the win over BYU, Utah secured the 900th win in program history while setting a new attendance record (5,953) at the Jon M. Huntsman Center.
• West Virginia and Utah will meet on the court for the first time ever and for the first time as Big 12 conference foes.Â
• Utah faces Cincinnati for the third time in program history, owning a 2-0 lead in the series. The Utes have defeated the Bearcats once in Salt Lake City, closing out the 2009 Utah Classic with a 3-2 win.Â

Utah vs. WVU: First Meeting

West Virginia makes its first trip to Salt Lake City, owning an 8-17 record with a 2-12 record in Big 12 action. The Mountaineers come to the Jon M. Huntsman having six straight, losing four of their last five in straight sets. Cassidy Tanton leads the West Virginia attack with a team-high 310 kills, averaging 3.33 kills per set. She also leads the Mountaineers from the service line with a team-high 34 aces. West Virginia is backed by Sydney Reed (29), Quincey Coyle (28) and Alexis Finnvold (23) with 20+ aces from the service line. The Mountaineers are supported by Hailey Green (252) and Maddy McGath (219), posting over 200 kills each, averaging over two kills a set apiece. Laila Ibrahim leads the West Virginia blocking defense with 102, averaging 1.07 blocks per set. Sydney Reed leads the receiving effort for WVU, averaging 3.56 digs per set, with 352 total digs on the season. Facilitating the WVU offense with nearly 600 assists on the season, Alexis Finnvold averages 8.62 assists per set for the Mountaineers.

Cincinnati comes to Utah with a pair of top 25 matches on its schedule, facing #24 BYU on Thursday before heading to Salt Lake City to take on the #19 Utes. The Bearcats are 13-12 overall and 4-10 in conference, having lost four of their last five matches. Carly Glendinning leads the Bearcat offense with 310 kills on the season, averaging 3.52 kills per set with a .235 hitting percentage. Glendinning leads the Cincinnati serving effort with a team-high 20 aces. Sydney Nolan adds to the Cincinnati firepower with the second-most kills, contributing 243 kills, and averaging 2.76 kills per set. Katelyn Lefler runs the Cincinnati offense with 766 assists, averaging nearly nine assists per set (8.91). Abby Walker leads the Bearcats at the net, averaging 1.08 blocks per set with 96 total stops. Coming off her second Big 12 Rookie of the Week honors, Faith Frame leads the Cincinnati receiving effort with 366 digs, averaging 4.11 digs per set. Â
AMONG THE NATION'S BEST
• Utah ranks among in the top 20 in the nation (16th) and the Big 12 (3rd) for kills per set, averaging 14.04.
• The Utah attack is top 35 in the country, coming in at 32nd, posting a .259 hitting percentage, the Utes rank 4th in the Big 12.Â
• As one of the most efficient hitting teams in the nation, Utah ranks 24th in the nation in assists per set at 12.93 and 3rd in the Big 12.
• The Utah defense has held its opponents to a .168 hitting percentage, ranking them 28th in the nation and 2nd in the Big 12.Â

Allie Olsen ranks among the top 25 in the nation for hitting percentage, coming in at 23th and posting a .397 clip.
BAD, BAD, GIBADLO
• Gibadlo has led the Utah attack 18 times this season.
• Gibadlo has set a new career-high mark in kills multiple times this season first in the Big 12 opener against Texas Tech and again at #24 BYU (17). She eclipsed that mark, setting a new best with 19 kills against Arizona. Gibadlo continued to grow her personal best with a new high at Colorado with 20.Â
• Against Arizona, Gibadlo tallied her 500th career kill.
• A threat from the service line in the home match against BYU, she aced the Cougars a career-high seven times, matching the Utah three set record.
• She had her most efficient match against Coppin State, hitting .533.
• On the season, Gibadlo has put away a team-high 313 total kills, leading the Utes with a 3.40 kills per set average.Â
• From the service line, Gibadlo has tallied 34 aces, which is the most on the team.
UP NEXT
Utah will make one final road trip of the regular season, traveling to Iowa State for a midweek showdown with the Cyclones on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 4 p.m. MT.
