SALT LAKE CITY– Utah outside hitter
Devyn Wiest has been selected as one of 14 athletes to compete at the 2026 NORCECA Women's U21 Pan America Cup with USA Volleyball Women's U21 National Team in Columbus, Ohio.
Wiest was one of 27 athletes identified by USA Volleyball to train in Columbus, Ohio from June 26-July 5 and will now compete for a chance at gold from July 7-12 at the Covelli Center on the Ohio State University campus.
Tickets for the event are now on sale.
"We're incredibly proud of Devyn for earning another opportunity to represent USA Volleyball on the U21 team at the Pan American Cup," head coach
Alyssa D'Errico said. "This is her third consecutive summer with a national team selection, which speaks to the consistency of her work ethic, her commitment to continual growth, and the belief that USA Volleyball has in her potential. What makes this accomplishment so special is that Devyn is never satisfied. She continues to chase her dream of wearing 'red, white, and blue' at the highest level while embracing every opportunity to improve. She represents everything we value in our program: competitiveness, character, humility, resilience, and a team-first mindset. We can't wait to watch her compete on the international stage again, and we know she'll represent Utah and our country with tremendous pride."
Last season,
Wiest competed for the U19 team that took silver at the World Championship in Croatia, along with
D'Errico who served as an assistant coach. Weist was one of 13 athletes selected by USA Volleyball that brought previous experience competing in the organization's age-group events.
Wiest's debut season with the Utes in 2025 was cut short due to injury, but in the little time she played, she showed what her potential could be with an outstanding showing at Arizona where she posted 10 digs and 16 kills. Wiest suits up with Utah volleyball this fall as a redshirt freshman.
The U.S. is in a pool with Canada, Mexico and Venezuela, and their first match is Tuesday, July 7, at 5 p.m. MT against Venezuela.
