CORVALLIS, Ore. – Utah junior
Adora Anae tallied a match-high 16 kills and added three total blocks, while helping the Utah Utes go 2-0 on the road this week with a sweep (25-22, 25-23, 25-22) over the Oregon State Beavers Thursday night at Gill Coliseum.

Along with its win over No. 15-ranked Oregon on Wednesday night, the Utes managed to sweep both Oregon squads in a single road trip for the first time since joining the Pac-12.

In addition to the two-match road sweep, Utah moved to 19-8 overall and 10-6 in Pac-12 play. The 10 conference victories are the most for a Utah squad since joining the league, surpassing the original high of nine wins that were set back in 2013 and 2014.

The Utes are now 10-2 on the road this season, which matches the most wins on the road since going 20-4 back in 2008. The 10 road wins are the most for the program as a member of the Pac-12 Conference.

Utah and Oregon State both registered 13 kills and hit over .300 in the first set, but the Utes managed to come away with a 25-22 win after recording five service aces and 3.0 total team blocks. Anae and junior
Carly Trueman teamed up for a combined nine kills, while freshman
Bailey Choy registered a pair of service aces in the frame.

Utah trailed by as many as five points, down 18-13, but the Utes countered with three different 3-0 runs to take its first lead since being up 2-1, at 22-21. Utah and OSU would trade points to 23-all until sophomore
Berkeley Oblad put the set away with a kill and a block to give the Utes a 25-23 win and a 2-0 lead heading to the intermission break.

Utah trailed 7-5 early in set three, but then rattled off an 8-2 run to take a 13-9 lead and never looked back on the way to a 25-22 win. Anae registered seven of her 16 kills in the frame, while the rest of the offense posted a .421 hitting percentage. Utah tallied 17 kills on 38 swings and had just one hitting error in the set.

Utah, who also defeated Oregon State at home back on Oct. 22, earns the season sweep over the Beavers for the first time since the 2013 campaign. Meanwhile, the Beavers dropped to 10-16 overall and 3-12 in league play.

Luafalemana led the squad with four total blocks and a .400 hitting percentage, while the team finished with 8.0 total team blocks and a hitting percentage of .313 on the night.
