Head Coach Rich Manning
"No matter how much you prepare your team, this is the third year with me against Utah State and they have all been one goal games--and the last two in overtime--and we didn't expect anything less."
"Full credit to them (Utah State). Those girls fought hard, they consistently beat us to the ball and we're lucky enough to get a result out of it."
"A few of the girls came off the bench and really battled for us. Erin (Pruitt), who scored the goal, did a good job all day and I thought Ashley (Mason) clearly had her best game of the season and maybe was the difference."
"There were times in the second half that I felt that we were coming unglued, and that is something we have to go back and work on and try to fix. Ashley kind of plugged the holes until we righted ourselves, but even in overtime there were some corners and stuff that we were disorganized, which we will have to work on."
"Ashley Wilson (of Utah State) had a great game. She dominated our forwards on that side the whole game. She had taken the ball away, but Kiley (Jones) took the ball back and crossed it."
"We're really happy for Erin. She has worked really hard and has been kind of our 12th player off the bench all year and done a good job."
Erin Pruitt
On the game-winning goal: "I was hanging out waiting for the ball, and Kiley gave me a great ball over, and I just jumped and hoped my head would hit it and it did."
On the win: "It is just relief. It was an ugly game with them as always as instate rivals, and we just kept at them and I'm really excited."
"I've been working really hard. My goal is to come off the bench and give some energy and pick up the team and that is my role and I love it. Instate rivalries are always the best"
Kiley Jones
On the pass to set up the game-winning goal: "Chelsea laid it off to me and I just crossed it and hoped that someone would get it and they did. I kind of got lucky."
Ashley Mason
"I felt that ever since the Colorado game, I've felt that every game has been better."
"The first couple of games this season I noticed that when I was thinking too much I'm not at the top of my game, and so game by game I just try and play my game. This is a great win for the team and for the program."
