SEATTLE - Utah used 17 runs off 21 hits to ease past Washington on Saturday, 17-8. The win boosts the Utes to 9-8 on the season and drops Washington to 6-4.
Senior first baseman Nate Weese dismantled Husky pitching with five hits, including a home run. Weese finished the game with three RBI and four runs scored. Adam Castleton kept his hot hitting alive by going three-of-five at the plate and driving in three runs. Matt Ciaramella knocked in four runs for Utah on two-of-five hitting.
Utah pitcher Cheyenne Rushton picked up his second win of the season. Rushton allowed four runs and struck out five in 6.2 innings of work.
