UTAH: Walk-on initially registered for classes in 2005--which started his NCAA "clock"--even though he did not try out for the team until last fall.
2006-Played for the scout teams ... made the Athletics Academic Honor Roll.
HIGH SCHOOL: All-state selection was named Region Defensive MVP ... Jordan High (Utah) team captain ... also a standout wrestler and track and field athlete ... set school record for sacks in a game, season and career ... also set Jordan High records for tackles for loss in a game and a season ... two-time all-state honoree in wrestling ... two-time region champion in wrestling ... wrestling team captain ... won state championship in the discus ... earned all-state honors twice in track and field, while also serving as team captain ... set school record for javelin throw ... honor roll student.
