UTAH: Fully recovered from the ankle injury that hampered him last season ... waging a battle for the starting job at left guard ... before enrolling in the U. in 2006, he had not played football in four years.
2007: Played in 12 games, starting the first three at left guard ... ankle injury caused him to miss one game (UNLV) and slowed him for the remainder of the season ... participated in 188 plays in the regular season (bowl stats were not kept), which was the most of the non-starters on the line ... five knockdowns and a cut ... also played on special teams.
2006: Played in 11 games, including a start at left guard in the regular-season finale against BYU ... in regular season games (stats were not kept for the bowl game), he participated in 123 offensive plays ... seven knockdowns and two pancake blocks ... also contributed on special teams.
PRIOR TO UTAH: 2002 all-conference player for Dixie State College ... Dixie won the 2002 conference title and Rotary Bowl ... prepped at Timpview High (Utah) ... second-team all-region ... won three letters in football, two in track and one in wrestling ... made the honor roll as a junior and senior.
