UTAH: Came out of spring ball as the No. 2 guy at both center and left tackle ... opportunity to win the starting job at center stalled in the spring when he hurt the thumb on his snapping hand, but he will compete come fall ... has quickness and agility.
2005-Redshirt transferred from Hawaii in the fall and could practice but not play in games per NCAA rules.
PRIOR TO UTAH: Part-time starter for Hawaii from 2003-04 ... one of only two true freshman starters on UH's 2003 team appeared in 13 games and started eight ... in 2004, he played in 10 games, starting five, at right tackle ... recorded 9 knockdowns in 2003 and 11 in 2004 ... 2003 graduate of St. Louis School in Honolulu ... participated in football and track and field. ... earned all-ILH and all-state honors ... state medalist in the discus.
