LEXINGTON, Ken. – Utah outside hitter
Kamryn Gibadlo has earned back-to-back AVCA All-American honorable mention honors, becoming the first Ute since Dani Drews (2018-'21) to receive consecutive All-American recognitions by the organization.
Gibadlo's honor is the program's 25
th total All-American recognition.
Gibby has already been awarded consecutive
All-Big 12 First Team,
AVCA All-Region (West) First Team, and
CSC Academic All-District honors after starting the 2025 season on the
AVCA Division I Player of the Year Watch List.
"We are so thrilled for Kam to be recognized as an All-American for a second-consecutive season," said head coach
Alyssa D'Errico. "She has put in relentless work on her craft and has become a dynamic six-rotation threat at the highest level. This honor reflects not only her performance on the court, but the way she stepped into a leadership role for our team. She raised the bar when it mattered most, brought consistency and confidence to our group, and was instrumental in the success we had this season."
Gibadlo reached new heights in her play during the 2025 season, notching a career-best 28 kills against West Virginia while topping her best effort in digs (21) against Arizona, and recording a career-milestone 1000 kills against TCU.
Additionally, Gibadlo ranked eighth in the Big 12 in total kills (469), 10
th in points per set (4.38), recorded 13 games for the Utes with double-digit kills and digs which is also
The Utes made their 20
th NCAA Tournament appearance, largely due to Gibadlos' effort and leadership down the stretch, helping Utah to a 4-1 record in their last five regular-season games that included ranked wins over No. 23 BYU and No. 13 Kansas.
Gibadlo finished the year leading Utah Volleyball in kills (489) and digs (277), while finishing third in aces (30) and fifth in assist (23) and blocks (47.0).
The soon-to-be senior outside hitter is far from done setting records for the Utes, having the opportunity to start hot in 2026 just three aces shy of a career 100.
