FIRST PITCH
Utah is hosting No. 12 Arizona State for a weekend series at Smith's Ballpark. The Utes are 11-19 coming into the series and the Sun Devils are 28-7.
Arizona State was the last unbeaten team this season winning its first 22 games of the season. They are prolific on offense, hitting .324 as a team. Hunter Bishop leads them hitting .394 with 17 home runs and 45 RBI. He was named D1 baseball's top midseason player.
Utah has won three games in a row after taking their series against USC and then winning its midweek game against Utah Valley.

The Utes are 11-41 against Arizona State all time.
Utah dropped their series against the Sun Devils in 2018, but won the series the two seasons before that.

MIGUELES LEADS THE WAY
Erick Migueles has been steady at the plate to start the season hitting over .300 the entire time. He is third on the team hitting .327 and leads the team with 28 RBI.
He's had multiple hits in 12 games and came up with an RBI in 16 games this season.
Going back to last season, Migueles had had an RBI in 13 straight games up until the UNLV game this season.
Migueles leads the team with four home runs. He had a big three-run homer against Stanford to help force extra innings against one of the best teams in the nation.
Against USC, Migueles went 3-3 setting a career high with three doubles and had three RBI. He followed that up with three more RBI against Utah Valley.
MCCLEVE IMPRESSIVE OUT OF PEN
Zac McCleve leads the team with 17 appearances out of the bullpen and currently holds a 2.81 ERA.
He has been highly effective only allowing eight earned runs in those appearances.
His longest outing of the season came against Oregon State, where he threw 4.0 innings. He had three strikeouts, but also gave up two runs.
In the second game of the series against USC, McCleve came in and didn't allow a run and got his second save of the season.
The freshman reliever has not allowed an earned run in 12 appearances.
