SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah baseball team prepares to play its final home games of the season against Washington beginning on Thursday, March 17, at 11:30 a.m. MT.
The series continues on Friday, May 18, and Saturday, May 19, both games at 11:30 a.m. MT.
All three games will be televised on the Pac-12 Network. Saturday's game will be aired on ESPN 700 radio.
Utah will celebrate its seniors pregame on Saturday against Washington, with the Utes honoring Wade Gulden, Spencer Johnson, Spencer Kevin Johnson, Josh Lapiana, Trenton Stoltz and Tanner Thomas.
Utah is tied for fourth in the Pac-12 in triples (15), fifth in doubles (86), tied for fifth in stolen bases (34) and ranks sixth in hits (456). Utah is fourth in the league in double plays (38) and ranks fifth in assists (488). The pitchers lead the league with 15 pickoffs.
DaShawn Keirsey, Jr., ranks in the top 10 in the league in several categories including leading the league in doubles (21) and ranking fourth in the Pac-12 in batting average (.384). He is second in the league in hits per game (1.55). Keirsey is on a 16-game hitting streak and has had a hit in 34 out of Utah's last 35 games. Oliver Dunn is fifth in the league with 29 double plays and ranks sixth in assists (126). On the pitching staff, Trenton Stoltz is second in the Pac-12 with 30 appearances on the mound and is fifth with seven saves. Josh Lapiana and Jacob Rebar each have four pickoffs and are tied for second in the league. Tanner Thomas has allowed just three home runs this year, which is among the fewest in the league.
Washington is 25-21 on the season and 15-9 in the Pac-12. The Huskies have won three-straight league series over UCLA, Arizona State and Washington State.
