The Utes are coming off of a 4-2 loss to the University of New Mexico over the past weekend, which moved them to an overall record of 7-4. In doubles, the UNM Lobos took the early advantage as they earned the doubles point over the Utes. Bronte Burgette and Diana Wong were victorious at the No. 2 spot over
Alexia Petrovic and
Jena Cheng with a score of 6-3.
Whitney Turley and
Taylor Calton then lost a competitive match at the No. 3 spot to Natasha Munday and Lauren Rich, with a final score of 7-5. Later in singles,

Opponent Notes
The ASU Sun Devils are coming off of a 4-0 sweep against the Gauchos of UC Santa Barbara this past Sunday. Sasa Klanecek and Savannah Slaysman blanked their opponents on court three, 6-0, then the undefeated duo of Lauryn John-Baptiste and Ilze Hattingh took care of Lev Ari/Yamada a few minutes later, 6-1, to give ASU a cushion heading into singles play with the Gauchos. The Gauchos fielded one ranked tandem in No. 57 Natalie Da Silveira and Palina Dubavets on court one against ASU's Nicole Fossa Huergo and Tereza Kolarova. The Sun Devil duo had the lead over the UCSB pairing, 4-3, before ASU took the point. The lead was extended to two after Kolarova took down Yamada, 6-1, 6-0, on court six. The commanding victory was the freshman's second win on court six this season. She had the lead on court six in the third set yesterday against her Aztec opponent, but the match was called before she had a chance to record a win. Hattingh grabbed her second win of the weekend over on court two to put ASU up 3-0. She blew past Aubets with ease, not dropping a single game en route to her 6-0, 6-0 sweep. Along with her impressive win Friday, Hattingh finishes the weekend having dropped only one game as she won 6-1, 6-0 yesterday. The match-clinching point was scored by Hattingh's doubles partner John-Baptiste on court one. The England international won 6-2, 6-3 for her fourth win on the first court and sixth win this spring – the second-best mark on the team behind Klanecek's eight wins. While the game was called at 4-0, Klanecek had the lead on court five and was a point away from winning her match, and Slaysman was entering a tiebreak in the second set after she had taken the first set 6-2. Fossa Huergo won her first set 6-3 and was mounting a comeback in the second set, down 4-5, before John-Baptiste finished Dubavets.
The Arizona Wildcats are coming off of a 5-2 victory against Sacramento State this past Sunday. Arizona's Paris Corley and Camila Wesbrooks def. Sacramento's Maria Gonzalez/Jenna Dorian 6-0 on court two. Gitte Heynemans and Sophia Thomas clinched the doubles point for the Cats when they beat Sofi Wicker/Sofia Gulnova 6-1 on court three, leaving the third match unfinished. The Wildcats continued their success into the singles matches when Sophia Thomas won over Hornet Carolina Chernyetsky 6-0, 6-4 on court six. Camila Wesbrooks defeated Sofi Wicker on court two, 6-2, 6-4. Marie Van Aelst secured the win for Arizona when she defeated Maria Gonzalez 6-4, 6-4 on court three. Mary Lewis fell 2-6, 6-3, 2-6 to Ana Loaiza Esquivias on court one. Tayla Zandberg fell to Jenna Dorian on court five, 6-3, 2-6, 6-3. Sofia Gulnova won over Gitte Heynemans 6-3, 5-7, 7-5 on court four.
