SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah women's tennis team will be on the road this weekend for two Pac-12 conference matches. The Utes will first travel to Pullman, Washington, for a match against the 31
st ranked Washington State Cougars (17-2) on Friday. They will then finish off the weekend in Seattle, Washington, to face off against the 49
th ranked Washington Huskies (10-8) on Sunday.
After their win against Fresno State last Friday, the Utes will come into this week with an overall record of 9-7.

Utah Notes
The Utes are coming off of a 6-1 victory over the Fresno State Bulldogs this past Friday. The Utes were able to take the early advantage by taking the doubles point over the Bulldogs. On court No. 2, the pair of
Taylor Calton and
Whitney Turley were able to record a victory against Katerina Stloukalova and Ndindi Ndunda with a final score of 6-3.
Brianna Chisholm and
Victoria Robertson then sealed the point at the No. 3 position over Olivia Noble and Juliane Triebe, finishing with a score of 7-5. In singles, Chisholm kept things rolling by earning the first victory for the Utes at the No. 2 spot, topping Katerina Stloukalova 6-3, 6-4. Robertson shortly followed with a win of her own, defeating Georgia Lawson on the No. 6 court with a final score of 6-1, 6-4. Then to seal the win for the Utes over Fresno State, Turley finished off Alessia Dario with a score of 6-3, 6-4, at the No. 5 position.
Jena Cheng also added another victory for the Utes at the No. 5 spot, defeating Ndindi Ndunda in a competitive match, scoring 6-2, 4-6, 6-2.
Alexia Petrovic recorded the final win of the day for the Utes, defeating Emma Wilson in three sets with a score of 6-2, 2-6, 7-6, at the No. 1 position.
Opponent Notes
In their most recent match, Washington State is coming off of a 4-0 loss against 13
th ranked UCLA. Washington State tennis suffered just its second loss of the season and its first in Pac-12 play as it fell at No. 13 UCLA, 4-0, Saturday afternoon. The day began with three tightly contested doubles matches as WSU won 6-3 and No. 2 while No. 1 went to UCLA, 6-4. In the third and deciding doubles match, it came down to No. 3 where WSU's Michaela Bayerlova and Aneta Miksovska forced a tiebreaker before falling, giving UCLA the opening point. The Bruins came out strong in singles, capturing the first three completed matches to secure the team victory. After sophomore Melisa Ates fell at No. 6, Barbora Michalkova was next off with a 6-3, 6-2 loss against No. 46 Abi Altick. FreshmenMichaela Bayerlova also fell to a ranked player, 6-3, 6-4 against No. 13 Ena Shibahara. Bayerlova's loss at No. 1 singles ended the match and all remaining matches were halted.
The University of Washington is also coming off of a 4-0 loss against No. 13 UCLA. The Bruins (12-4) won the doubles point after dominating the sets on courts two and three, 6-1 and 6-0, respectively. Miki Kobayashi and Vanessa Wong were keeping it close at No.1 doubles, but the point was clinched before they could finish their set, ending it down 4-3. In singles, Washington dropped the matches at No. 3, 5 and 6 singles, all in two sets. All three of those matches also saw UCLA sweeping the second sets, 6-0. The match was clinched with those three Bruin wins. With Stacey Fung sitting on the sidelines during singles after her injury from Saturday, freshman Vanessa Wong played No. 1 singles. She won the first set 6-3 over No. 13 Ena Shibahara and was tied 2-2 when the dual-match was called. The other two matches that were unfinished saw UCLA taking the first sets.
