SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah baseball team travels to Orem on Tuesday, April 25, for a midweek game against Utah Valley.
Tuesday's game begins at 6:00 p.m. MT.
Tuesday's game is the second between Utah and Utah Valley this season. In the first meeting on March 22, Utah fell to the Wolverines, 9-7. Although the Utes took an early lead in the game, UVU rallied and held as much as a four-run lead. The Utes came within a run in the seventh inning, 8-7, before Utah Valley added an insurance run in the eighth en-route to the win.
Spencer Kevin Johnson will make his first career start for the Utes on the mound against Utah Valley.
Utah (17-17, 8-10 Pac-12) has won five of its last six games, including sweeping then-seventh-ranked Arizona last weekend.
Utah ranks second in the Pac-12 with a .291 batting average. The Utes are second in the league in runs scored (212), RBI (191) and on-base percentage (.380) while ranking fourth in slugging percentage (.401). The Utes are tied for fourth in the league in hits (350).

Dallas Carroll ranks third in the Pac-12 in batting average (.391) and slugging percentage (.609) while ranking second in on-base percentage (.472) and hits per game (1.59). He is also tied for third in the league in doubles.
DaShawn Keirsey, Jr., is tied for second in the league in triples (four), is fourth in hits per game (1.53) and ranks seventh in hits (52).
Utah Valley is 13-24 overall and 6-6 in the WAC. The Wolverines recently won two of three over Chicago State.
