TEMPE, Ariz. - The Utah baseball team was on the wrong end of a no-hitter on Friday night, falling 5-0 to Arizona State.
Dalton Carroll was strong over five innings pitched, allowing two runs on eight hits with one walk and eight strikeouts. Andre Jackson added five strikeouts in relief over 2 2/3 innings, allowing one hit. Nolan Stouder also pitched part of an inning for the Utes, allowing three runs on four hits.

ASU loaded the bases in the top of the second before Carroll got back-to-back strikeouts to end the threat. The Sun Devils broke through to take a 1-0 lead in the third after a leadoff double would lead to an RBI single later in the inning. Arizona State added a run in the fourth following a leadoff triple followed by an RBI single.
The Sun Devils added three runs on four hits in the sixth inning, taking a 5-0 lead.
