Trio of Utah Soccer Student-Athletes Earn NSCAA Academic Awards

SALT LAKE CITY - Utah Soccer had three players, Sarah Duncan, Avery Jenkins and Katie Rigby, named as NSCAA Women's University Division Scholar All-West Region honorees.
All three student athletes earned honorable mention nods from the NSCAA after the team collected an academic award after another successful year in the classroom. Since the award was instituted in 1996, Utah has been named 13 times, including the last five seasons.
Duncan (3.81, Art History) was a First Team All-Academic Pac-12 honoree while Rigby was named to the second team (3.74, Exercise and Sport Sciences) and Jenkins was named honorable mention (3.32, Health Promotion and Education). Duncan and Jenkins were among the academic honorees for a third-straight year while Rigby earned awards for a second-straight season.
Since joining the Pac-12, Utah women's soccer has had 47 players earn academic honors from the conference, including 17 student-athletes last season.
