Reineke Named to Elite Team of the Week

SALT LAKE CITY -- University of Utah junior midfielder Katy Reineke was named to the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week Wednesday. The honor comes after Reineke was named the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Reineke had a hand in all three of Utah's goals in last week's tie with UNLV and win over BYU. The Salt Lake City native and East High School product scored Utah's second goal in a 2-2 tie with UNLV last Thursday. She assisted on the first goal of the game in Las Vegas, as well. In Saturday's 1-0 win over BYU, Reineke tallied an assist. For the week, she had four points.

Reineke is Utah's second-leading scorer, with nine goals. She is tied for second on the team in assists with five. Reineke ranks 40th in the nation in goals per game (0.643) and 32nd in the nation in scoring (1.64 points per game).
