On the loss - "Credit to New Mexico, they were terrific. They beat us to the ball consistently most of the night. They were very organized and disciplined in what they were trying to do, and obviously proved too tough for us to score on. I was proud of the fact that we kind of rallied in the second half and worked hard. That shows a good sign of the character of this team, but I was disappointed in the overall performance."
On what led to the goal being scored - "It was just a series of bad decisions and bad plays on our part. There were a couple of throw-ins before that I thought we were disorganized on, and we gave them a few more throw-ins. Then we missed a header, it could have been a keeper's and ball and she didn't get it. A couple of people didn't get in to head it then someone slipped in between. It was just a series of bad plays. New Mexico was ready to play and we weren't. Unfortunately, New Mexico is a really good defensive team. By the time we kind of started to snap out of it, it was too late."

"I never thought we would have to defend for 80 minutes. I didn't think it was going to be a one-goal game. The last time we played (Oct. 8) it was a 3-2 game. It was a great game. When we scored a minute and a half into the game I just thought it was going to be a long game. These girls (UNM) played with heart and soul."

On the loss - "Unfortunately we didn't come out hard enough. We're told by our coach all the time that the game can be determined in the first minute or the last minute. So, unfortunately, we weren't prepared for that. We fought throughout the whole game to even the score."
On her shot that went off the post - "I moved up to try to generate some more offense and connect with our forwards. I just saw an open shot and ripped it. Unfortunately, it was a couple inches too far right and bounced off the post. We had a lot of other good looks, but our luck just wasn't with us today and we didn't finish the game off."
