NEW ORLEANS, La,. - For the second time in two days, the Utah baseball team was shut out by No. 7 Tulane, this time a 7-0 loss this afternoon. The Utes, who were out-hit 12 to 4, are now 1-7 on the year.
Junior Doug Mackay suffered the loss, falling to 0-3 on the season. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up six runs on seven hits. He struck out seven and walked two.
Jared Pena, Cort Wilson, Matt Ciaramella and Ryan Khoury had one hit apiece for the Utes.
