Head Coach Rich Manning
"I don't think we played our best game today. I don't know if it was nerves or the pressure of BYU, but we didn't settle the ball down for about the first 35 minutes."
"We got a little frantic after the first goal and I don't think we settled down after the initial score. We had a few mistakes on the second goal, which were very fundamental. They were things we practice on everyday. We are going to have to go back and fix a few things before the tournament."
"We had poor ball-handling and we didn't finish well. We weren't very organized today, our communication, defense and connections were poor."
"My entire thought process right now is how can we play better. We have a few days to prepare and that is exactly what we are going to do. This loss will hopefully motivate us for the tournament."
Sophomore Forward Hailey Marsh
"My goal wasn't pretty, but Amanda (Feigt) crossed a good ball and I got a knee on it. Unfortunately, we couldn't get another one."
"The missed opportunities today were heartbreaking. It's tough when you want something so bad and you can't achieve it. It's very frustrating. We are going to continue to work hard and prepare for the tournament.
Sophomore Goalkeeper Ashley Mason
"There is no doubt in my mind that we can beat any team in our conference. We struggled a little the first of the season, but I honestly think we can beat anyone. It's going to be difficult, but I'm confident in this team."
Freshman Midfielder Whitney Dorsey
"We had a lot of chances to score. I had a few that I wasn't able to capitalize on. I don't know exactly where we will be placed in the tournament, but we are excited."
