SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah baseball team fell to 11-16 on the season with a heartbreaking 2-1 loss to Albertson College in the first half of a doubleheader at Ute Field this afternoon.
Junior Sean Overholt (0-4) took the loss on the mound, pitching the entire game. He gave up two runs, one earned, on four hits, while striking out five.
Junior Jared Pena, freshman Tyler Kmetko and senior Jake Jordison all went 2-for-3 on the game.
The Utes got on the board in the bottom of the first when Kmetko reached home on a Jordison double.
After three scoreless innings, the Coyotes tied things up in the top of the fifth on a one-run double. The winning run came in the top of the seventh on a solo homer.
