Head Coach Rich Manning
"I liked our aggressiveness in the first half. I thought we did some pretty nice things. Lauren (Field) made a big difference. It was her first game after missing the last three, and we've been having troubles creating opportunities and scoring goals. She's so important for us in that sense."
"In the second half, I just think we lost concentration a little bit. We couldn't connect passes, we couldn't get a rhythm going. I think some of it's concentration. There's a couple girls a little banged up that I'm trying to nurse through the week, and I think moving the lineup around hurts your rhythm."
On Lauren Field coming back so well after time off -
"Nothing about her surprises me. She's a great kid, she's a great player and she has great character. She has great enthusiasm for the game, life and her teammates. All we talk about everyday in the office is if that girl can ever get fit and get healthy, watch out."
Junior Forward Lauren Field
"Being out recharged me and I was definitely ready for the game today. I was pumped up, ready to get back on the field. I think it was a good thing to get me started back up and get my confidence going. It felt good."
"The first goal, everyone was just kind of in the mixer, and the goalkeeper just kind of fumbled it and couldn't keep it in her hands. Amber Brower dropped it to me and I was able to get an easy shot off. The second one, it was just a perfect ball by McKenzie Joyner. That's the kind of ball that every forward loves to get. You get in good position and all you have to do is stick your foot out and the ball comes right to you."
