Utah Head Coach Rich Manning:
"It is good to win a conference game. Winning five games in the conference and 14 overall has never been done here at Utah. Those are very positive aspects and they will give us some momentum going down to play BYU."
"We had a good week of training. It is hard to grind it out week in and week out. I felt good about the training. I thought the seniors did a great job. Missy (Dennis) gave us a few good looks and Bobbie (Benegas) was very composed on the goal. That goal gave us a little bit of a cushion in the game."
"I was very impressed by Wyoming; they forced us to create goals. They also are coming off an emotional downer with the loss to BYU. They were able to strike back and they deserve a lot of credit. Wyoming has a great goalkeeper. She made the saves she needed to make. This conference has a lot of good keepers and she is one of them."
"We are excited for the BYU game. The pressure is off. Regardless of the record it is going to be a hard-fought, fun game to play. The fact that it is also for the Mountain West Conference championship is a bonus."
Utah Senior Bobbie Benegas:
"This was a big game. We are undefeated at home and with a piece of the MWC Championship. We couldn't have asked for anything better. We are really looking forward to going down and playing BYU. As a team, we want to be outright champions, so to beat BYU is going to be big for us."
"I think McKenzie Joyner really stepped it up for the team today. She came in with a lot of energy and got us going. Although Jen Williams has been battling injuries, she had a great game as well. I think everyone did a great job and gave a lot of effort."
