UTAH HEAD COACH RICH MANNING
- On Utah's missed opportunities - "Yesterday and today, absolutely [that was the case]. New Mexico's a tough defensive team. I think BYU beat them 3-2, but other than that every game's been 1-0, win or lose. They're relentless and their goalkeeper's terrific. She's an all-conference goalkeeper, and she made two great saves late today."
- On Utah's play overall - "I thought we played well. In the first half we had good rhythm and we were kind of successful in what we were trying to do. I thought at the beginning of the second half, with about 25 or 30 minutes left, the game got real choppy and it didn't settle down. We couldn't get a rhythm or anything. We flinched and they didn't. There may have been some miscommunication [on the goal] and their player made a great shot. Got to give them credit. They're a tough team."
- On Utah's NCAA Tournament chances - "We're going to root for BYU this weekend really hard and hope that a few other results, especially in the West, fall our way. I've been hearing from a couple people that we've got a good shot, so we'll be optimistic and go from there. I don't know if they'll take three teams from our conference. But, we have a really good win against Portland and Washington State is doing great in the Pac-10. I think those two wins will really help us. And, our strength of schedule isn't bad."
