Quoting Head Coach Rich Manning:
"Sometimes a team will want to take the easiest path through the tournament, but the bottom line is you have to win and that is what we did. We expended a lot of energy in this game, but we won the game and that is the most important aspect."
"I thought we handled the game pretty well. We came out focused and we were pushing for the goal. We knew it was going to happen sooner or later. I really liked our temperament and attitude throughout the match."
"We were in control, but there have been a lot of teams that were in control and lost big games. Sometimes you battle the game as much as you do your opponent. What made the game tight was that we had four or five really good opportunities in the first half, but we didn't finish them. Basically, that doomed the game in being tight."
Quoting Senior Forward Shauna Gurr-Bingham:
"This game was really frustrating. Especially because I thought we played the ball better and we controlled the ball most of the game. I give credit to the goalkeeper. She did a great job knowing we outshot them (Wyoming) 30-6."
"A win is a win and we will take it. We are very excited to compete tomorrow and hopefully move on to the championship game."
