Prior to Utah: Was at Ohio State for the 2025 season after initially signing with Oklahoma State in 2023, serving a two-year mission to New Zealand.

- Named a Texas District 2-6A first-team selection at center as a senior and Class 6A first-team all-state selection by the Texas Sportswriters Association at right guard as a junior.
- Selected to play in the 2023 Polynesian Bowl and the U.S. Army All-Star Bowl.
- Also wrestled in high school and advanced to the Texas state 6A championship.
