- Reset career-highs in every major offensive category including batting average (.301), slugging (.628), on-base percentage (.464), runs scored (56), hits (59), doubles (18), home runs (14), RBI (45) and walks (48).
- His 48 walks tied the program's single-season record, first set by Michael Heideman in 1997.
- Was in the Pac-12’s regular season top-10 for walks (3rd), doubles (6th), runs scored (T-7th), homers (T-8th) and OBP (9th).
- His 14 home runs were the most for a Ute in the Pac-12 era and most since C.J. Cron’s 15 blasts in 2011.
- Led the team with 12 multi-RBI games and tied for second on the squad with 16 multi-hit efforts.
- Also was 1-1 in seven pitching appearances with five starts, primarily in midweek action.
- Had one of the more memorable two-way performances in recent Utah history at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Feb. 27); Clarkson homered twice and had five RBI during a 2.2-inning relief appearance on the mound.
- Tied Utah’s single-game records with six runs scored and five walks in the game at BYU (April 18).
- Error-free on 64 outfield chances and contributed an assist.

- Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll
- Played in 51 games, starting in 50 on the season. Began the year at DH before moving to left field in late March.
- Hit .286 with 10 doubles, one triple, and a team-best 11 home runs, the most by a Ute since C.J. Cron’s 15 homers in 2011.
- Also contributed 38 RBI which ranked third on the team.
- Reached base safely in 38 straight games, ranking second-longest active streak in the Pac-12 before it ended.
- Nine multi-RBI games were tied for third-most on the team.
- Two-way player also had four pitching appearances vs. LMU, UNLV, Washington and SDSU.
- Drove in seven runs vs. Mercer (March 26), the most RBI in a game by a Ute since 2011.
- Was a triple short of the cycle in that 5-for-6 performance, the first five-hit game at Utah since 2018.
- Clubbed two homers in wins over Northern Colorado (March 22) and at UVU (April 5).
2021 – Redshirt Freshman
- Played in 32 games on the season with 27 starts, hitting .198 with three doubles, two homers and 11 RBI.
- Made three starts on the mound, working 8.2 innings for the season with four strikeouts.
- Tied his career-high twice with three hits in the wins over Utah Valley (April 20) and Northern Colorado (May 9).
- Clubbed a three-run homer to highlight a five-RBI night in that UVU win.
2020 – Freshman
- Started in seven games and saw action in 10, hitting .261 with a home run and four RBI.
- Also pitched in three games with one start, throwing with 5.1 innings and had five strikeouts.
Prior to Utah
- Four-year letterman at Mesquite High School, where he was coached by Jeff Holland.
- Named Arizona First Team BCA All-State as a junior after hitting .353.
- Coming into his senior season, he held a .327 average while also having a 1.80 ERA.

- Son of Greg and Kristee Clarkson.
- Has two siblings, Bailey and Emily.
