Cade Coulter was named the primary athletic trainer for the Utah baseball program in Fall 2021. He is responsible for the daily practice and game coverage, treatment, injury prevention and rehab for student-athletes within the program.
Previously, Coulter assisted with the daily athletic training operations for the Utah football program during Winter and Spring 2021. He led routine COVID-19 testing for all student-athletes, while also guiding the Utes through rehab programs.
In 2020 Coulter assisted in athletic training roles for Judge Memorial High School as well as Westminster College in the neighboring Sugar House neighborhood of Salt Lake City. With Westminster, he was the go-to athletic trainer for the men’s lacrosse, men’s soccer and cross country teams.
Before coming to Salt Lake, Coulter was an assistant athletic trainer at UNC Greensboro, where he served with the baseball program along with men’s cross country/track & field. In Summer 2019, he interned with the Tampa Bay Rays.
Outside his experience in the collegiate and professional athletics realm, Coulter had a brief stint in 2021 at Salt Lake International Airport. In that capacity, Coulter assisted Delta Airlines staff in injury prevention and education.
A native of Lakewood, Ohio, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in athletic training in 2017 from Otterbein while a member of the baseball team. Coulter went on to earn his Master’s in athletic training from Kentucky in 2019.
