SALT LAKE CITY — Coming off four consecutive NCAA tournament appearances and four consecutive 20-win seasons, the University of Utah women's basketball program has announced the 2025-26 non-conference schedule that includes seven games in the Jon M. Huntsman Center.
"I'm very excited about this upcoming season," head coach
Gavin Petersen said. "We've put together a preseason schedule that will challenge us and prepare us for a very competitive Big 12 Conference schedule, as well as post season play. We start the year off in the Huntsman by hosting an NCAA Tournament team in San Diego State. We will also be hosting two Big Ten opponents in Washington and Northwestern, as well as taking on three in-state opponents in the non-conference schedule. We are honored to have been invited back to the Mohegan Sun for the Basketball Hall of Fame Women's Showcase, where we will get the opportunity to take on two high caliber teams in Syracuse and UConn. Our non-conference home schedule is one that our fans should be pumped for, and we can't wait to welcome back our fans to the Huntsman to make it one of the toughest places to play in the country."
To kick things off, Utah will host Western Colorado in an exhibition game Oct. 27th to showcase the Utes for the upcoming season.
The Utes will then officially begin the 2025-26 season with an NCAA Tournament team in San Diego State on Nov. 3. The Utes will head to Logan, Utah to take on Utah State for the first road game of the year on Nov. 7 before returning to the Huntsman to host Utah Valley Nov. 11. The Washington Huskies make their way to Salt Lake City Nov. 15 before the Utes head to the Basketball Hall of Fame Showcase to take on Syracuse Nov. 21 and reigning national champions UConn Nov. 23.
Utah will then take on a pair of Big Sky opponents first hosting Weber State Nov. 26 and later traveling to Montana to take on the Lady Griz Nov. 29.
The non-conference schedule will end as the Utes host three straight games starting with Boise State Dec. 10 followed by Big Ten foe Northwestern Dec. 14. Utah will conclude the non-conference schedule with a matchup against UC Riverside Dec. 17.
Utah will enter the 2025-26 season coming off a 22-9 overall record. The Utes return seven from last year's squad including Matyson Wilke and Reese Ross. Utah welcomes six new Utes to the roster including two transfers in Kamryn Mafua and a familiar face in Lani White. Utah has four incoming freshmen joining the squad this year.
