SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah track & field DMR team is headed to Virginia Beach, Va., this weekend to compete in the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday, March 14. This will be Utah's first time sending a DMR squad to the NCAA Indoor Championships in program history.

FROM THE STARTING LINE
This will be the 11th time the Women of Utah have competed in the NCAA Indoor Championships and first since Simone Plourde and Emily Venters competed in Albuquerque during the 2022-23 season. Utah's DMR squad this year includes
Bri Rinn,
Kyla Martin,
Emily Martin,
Emily Martin and
Madi Hulsey (alt). This will be the first time all five will be competing in an NCAA Indoor Championships event in their careers.

HOW THEY GOT THERE
Utah earned a spot in the NCAA Indoor Championships on Valentine's Day at the Husky Classic when it ran the then-fifth fastest DMR time in NCAA history with a time of 10:42.56. Heading into the championships, Utah's time is the sixth-fastest among the 12 participating schools for the event.
