Plourde Headed to Copenhagen for Road Running Championships

SALT LAKE CITY – Former Utah track & field All-American Simone Plourde will represent Team Canada once again, this time in the women's 5k race at the World Athletics Road Racing Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark, on Saturday, Sept. 19, at 6:10 a.m. (MDT) / 2:10 p.m. (GMT +2) with live coverage on Peacock.

This will be the 10th race Plourde has competed in this season and first since competing in the mile at the XXIII Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, with Team Canada. Saturday's race will serve as the first time the Québec, Canada, product has run a 5km road race since turning pro after her stellar collegiate career in 2023.
