VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Utah DMR team recorded its second-best finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships on Friday when it finished fifth-overall inside the Virginia Beach Sports Center behind the second-fastest mark in program history, 10:53.50.

Bri Rinn opened up the race for Utah in the 1200m portion and was a part of the lead group after a couple laps before handing things off to
Emily Martin in the 400m leg. E. Martin closed in on the BYU and Providence duo down the final 25m before passing the baton off to her sister,
Kyla Martin, for the 800m portion of the race.

K. Martin would move into third halfway through her leg of the DMR as she passed the baton off to
Erin Vringer for the final 1600m. Vringer held serve in her part of the race jockeying with Providence before a late push from LSU saw the junior cross the finish line at 10:53.50 for fifth-overall.

With their top-5 finish, all four including alternate
Madi Hulsey earned All-America honors.
