SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah women's tennis team will be back in action this week for their final match of the season. The Utes will be traveling to Boulder, Colorado, to take on the University of Colorado Boulder (8-10, 1-7 Pac-12), with the match against the Buffs scheduled for this Saturday.

The doubles pair of
Alexia Petrovic and
Jena Cheng will come into this week ranked 65
thoverall in doubles play. In their most recent match, the Utes are coming off of a 4-0 loss against No. 30 Oregon. The Utes were in a deficit early, as the Ducks were able to earn the doubles point.
Taylor Calton and
Whitney Turleywere unable to record a victory on the No. 2 court, as they were topped by No. 81 Rifanty Kahfiani and Alyssa Tobita with a score of 6-1.
Brianna Chisholm and
Victoria Robertsonthen fell, 6-1, at the No. 3 spot to Julia Lilien and Paiton Wagner, to give the Ducks a 1-0 lead.In singles, Robertson was beat out at the No. 6 position by Oregon's Julia Eshet with a final score of 6-0, 6-2. Calton then fell at the No. 4 spot to Daniela Nasser with a score of 6-3, 6-1, to put the Ducks into winning position. No. 121
Alexia Petrovic was then unable to defeat No. 49 Alyssa Tobita on the No. 1 court, as she fell, 7-5, 6-3, for the Ducks to complete the sweep.

Colorado's women's tennis team suffered a 4-0 defeat on Friday at No. 30 Oregon. The Ducks cruised to a quick doubles point, earning a 6-1 win by Julia Lilien and Paiton Wagner at No. 3, followed by a 6-0 win by 81st-ranked Rifanty Kahfiani and Alyssa Tobita at No. 2. The Buffs were playing shorthanded without No. 4 singles playerLouise Ronaldsonwho was injured earlier this week. Oregon was able to take advantage at the bottom of CU's lineup with three Buffs moving up in the lineup to fill that position.As a result, the Ducks clinched the match with two of the bottom three positions, along with a win at the No. 3 spot. Kahfiani put Oregon up 2-0 with a 6-1, 6-2 win overIIana Oleynikat No. 6 singles. The final two points came just moments apart at No. 4 and No. 3 singles, respectively. Daniela Nasser earned a 6-2, 6-1 win overKyra Wojcikat the fourth position. Wojcik won the first game in the second set before Nasser took the final six. Lilien clinched the match at No. 3, toppingJeannez Daniel6-4, 6-1. Daniel made a comeback in the first set after trailing 4-1 to get within 4-3, but that was as close as the match would be the remainder of the day. Lilien jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second set to pull away. By playing the match to clinch, the two teams spoiled a strong effort from CU'sLinda Huangat No. 1 singles. She was on her way to forcing a third set with 49th-ranked Tobita, dropping the first set 6-4 before leading 4-1 in the second when play was completed.
