SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - The University of Utah men's golf team returns to action this Saturday and Sunday, Mar. 4-5, at the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate. The 54-hole tournament will be held at Scottsdale's Outlaw Course.
Joining Utah at the event will be tournament host Michigan, Alabama, Indiana, Kansas, Marquette, Northwestern, Purdue, Saint Mary's, San Diego, Tennessee, and Washington State.
Scottsdale's Outlaw Course will play at par 72 and 7,107 yards for the event, teams will play 36 holes on Saturday followed by 18 holes on Sunday. Play will begin on Saturday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. MST, followed by an 8:30 a.m. MST shotgun start for the final round on Sunday.
This will mark Utah's first time competing at the Desert Mountain Collegiate. Texas A&M is the defending champion of this event, but will not be in attendance. Last year, Texas A&M carded a three-round score of 17-under 847, along with tournament host Michigan coming in second-place, finishing the tournament at 13-under 851.
