LAS VEGAS - Despite a late comeback that saw the Utes score five runs in the ninth inning, the Utah baseball team fell to UNLV on Friday evening, 12-11.
Down 12-6 going into the ninth inning, Nick Kuroczko started the rally with one out with a double down to right field. C.J. Cron followed with an RBI double. After Nik Gumeson struck out, Jo Jo Sharrar and Mark Moorman's back-to-back doubles put two more runs on the board. Tyler Yagi added a single for an RBI, which was followed by another RBI double by pinch-hitter Rick Cornu, bringing the Utes within a run. A pitching change for the Rebels ended the Ute rally, as Brady Zuniga struck out Devin Walker to end the game.
