UTAH HEAD COACH Bill Kinneberg: "Bryan was terrific today, sinker and slider, he was throwing strikes and the ball was down. Early in the ballgame his slider had them off balance."
"With BYU's offense, their speed, and their top of the line up, they can do it to you. So I was really proud of Bryan, he gutted it out and got them out in the eighth and ninth."
Brian Budrow: "I felt like good, I didn't throw last weekend against BYU so I felt fresh having ten days off. The coaches just let me go, it was my first complete game of the season."
"Jesse caught a great game tonight, our coaches called a great game, we played defense, and we hit. We did everything right tonight."
BYU HEAD COACH VANCE LAW: "Budrow pitched very well, we didn't hit very well, and we didn't take care of the baseball very well on defense. That is the name of the game, pitching and defense. Our starter Jake Wortham gave us a good effort and we sure didn't help him out by making the plays that needed to be made"
ON POSSIBLY FACING STRAUSBERG: "there is no game plan for him, you just have to go up there and battle and try to make contact and put the ball in play. He is a strikeout guy and you just have to spread out a little bit and choke up on the bat. Assuming that we get him tomorrow we have our work cut out."
