Softball Diary: On The Road With Kelly and Meghan

Ok, so it's been a couple of weeks since we have written a diary. YIKES! School is coming to an end for us so we are trying to not get senioritis and finish out the academic part. We just wrote our LAST college paper! WHOOO - get excited! Anyways, since the last time we have talked to you we started conference. We had our first home conference games against New Mexico and Colorado. It was awesome because as a team we started new, fun rituals in the locker room to get the team PUMPED UP before we get out on the field. It's super fun to get all riled up before we even get out to the field! After the first game against New Mexico we had a kid's camp. The Utah Firebirds came out on our field and we got to show them drills and let them take their positions with us. It was so fun to see the glow in their eyes! So cute!
Even though we split with both teams we learned a lot and carried it into the next weekend. We were picked to finish last place in the conference and it's so fun to just watch teams think they're going to just roll over us or look past us to their next games! But no - HERE COMES THE UTES!! WHOOOO! We are so good, and we have so much fun! We think that this past weekend we showed a lot of heart! For the five seniors it showed that we're not ready for this to be over. We are ready to fight and to hold on as long as possible. We played so well and we think we proved to ourselves how good we really are! SHOUT OUT TO DRE (Andrea Hoffman)! "OH DRE OH DRE OH DRE OH DRE!!!" You are sooo good! And she had the game winning hit against San Diego! WHOO YOU ROCK! And another one out to Lo (Laura Dahlberg) and her fantastic dance moves!! "HEY girl..HEY!" Hahaha. This past weekend was a huge turnaround for our team and it was so much fun to see it happen...we played for each other.
Today we leave to go down south and we all know what that means: Get ready to fight! These games are going to be so exciting! We are getting pumped just thinking about it! We are going down there to play for the first place position! And all we have to say is "GOOOOOOOOOO UUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTESS!" We will get back to you after the weekend is over...
