Utah (6-8) snapped a five-game losing streak by topping Bethune Cookman in game one of doubleheader action.
Devina Quintero led the Utes this afternoon, going 3-for-6 at the plate over the two-game stretch. Sharee Fonoti broke out of a slump and went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and Diana Phillips went 2-for-8 but plated three of the teams four runs today.

The Utes snapped a five-game skid as they pounced all over a Wildcat throwing error in the eighth to score the game-winning run. It was Utah's second straight extra-innings game and third in its last four.
Jackie Wong hit a slow-roller to the shortstop with Fonoti on third. A routine play, it all went awry when BCC's shortstop threw it away, allowing Fonoti to score the game-winning run.
Brianna Gourdin tallied the win. She went all eight innings, allowed six hits and struck out two while walking one.
Quintero led the Utes at the plate. She was 2-for-3 in the day's first game. Wong tallied the team's lone RBI while Fonoti scored both of Utah's runs.
The Wildcats and the Utes exchanged scores in the third inning. Utah struck first when Jackie Wong hit a blooper to the shortstop. It plated Fonoti who was on third. BCC knotted it at one in the bottom half of the same inning on an RBI double to left field.
Utah 3, Mississippi State 10
The Bulldogs benefited from eight Utah errors and scored in each of the first three innings to dispense of the Utes, 10-3. Only five Bulldog runs were earened.
Samantha Schroeder got the nod but only went a third of inning in surrendering two runs. Lindsie Nielsen came on in relief and is the pitcher of record, falling to 3-4 for the year. Nielsen struck out three, walked three and scattered six hits.
MSU jumped out to a 2-0 lead after one. But, with the bases loaded, Diana Phillips belted a double down the left field line. It cleared the sacks and gave Utah a brief 3-2 lead after two.
However, MSU scored three in the bottom of the second for a 5-2 lead and four Utah errors in the third led to MSU's insurmountable 10-3 cushion.
