ORLANDO, Fla. - The Utah baseball team dropped a 7-6 heartbreaker at the University of Central Florida this afternoon. The Utes had nine hits and committed no errors in the game and fall to 0-5 on the year.

Freshman Travis Kohn suffered the loss on the mound, falling to 0-1 on the year. He gave up two runs and walked one batter. Sophomore Jason Price, the Utah starter, pitched 5.1 innings, giving up five runs on four hits while walking seven and striking out four.

UCF scored first in the bottom of the first on a single through the left side, taking a 1-0 lead.

Utah answered with two runs in the top of the second when senior Michael Westfall, who reached on a single, scored on a fielding error. Senior Cort Wilson then scored on a Jared Pena RBI-single to center field.

UCF took the lead back, plating two in the bottom of the third, but the Utes came right back in the fourth with a two-run homer by junior Tyson Olson, taking a 4-3 advantage.

Utah got on the board again in the top of the sixth on a solo homer by Wilson.

UCF tied the game with two runs in the bottom of the sixth and took the lead in the seventh on a two-run single to left field.

The Utes came back with one run in the eighth when, with the bases loaded, Pena hit a sacrifice fly to center field. However, Utah stranded the game-tying and game-winning runs.

Westfall went 2-for-4 on the game, while sophomore Ryan Khoury was 2-for-5. Olson went 1-for-4, scoring two runs and driving in two others. Pena went 1-for-3 with two RBI.
