The Utah Baseball team posted eight runs on seven hits against Brigham Young on Friday, April 6 at Franklin Covey Field, but it wasn't enough for the win. BYU had 12 runs on 15 hits to support a strong pitching performance by Nate Fernley (10-1).
The first game of the three-game series began Thursday afternoon, but was postponed until Friday because of a rain delay (BYU led 10-3). Utah scored five runs and BYU two runs to conclude the game at 12-8.
