The Utah baseball team announces the signing of three new players for the 1999-2000 season. Shane Smulin, Mike Westfall and Donnie Saba have signed with the Utes. Smulin is a transfer from Utah Valley Community College. He is a right handed pitcher from Vernal, Utah. Westfall comes to the U. from Scottsdale, Ariz. where he played for the nationally ranked Horizon High School team. He will play catcher and third base for the Utes. Saba is a native of Salt Lake City. He joins the Ute infield from Brighton High School.
