PRIOR TO UTAH: Spent two seasons at Weber State, playing on the scout teams in 2018 after redshirting in 2017 … Weber State won back-to-back Big Sky Championships (2017-18) … first-team all-state in 2014 at Moapa Valley HS (Nev.) … 2014 1-A All-State Offensive MVP … 2014 Sunrise League Offensive MVP and second-team all-league in 2013 … 2,172 yards passing with 26 touchdowns (129-of-214, 4 INT) his senior year … also rushed for four touchdowns … Moapa Valley won the state championship in 2014 with a 13-0 record … threw for 393 yards and three touchdowns in the state title game … 1,812 yards passing for 25 TD, while also rushing for three rushing touchdowns as a junior … kicked PATs and kickoffs as a junior … team captain.
