THIS WEEK
Utah Golf heads back to the Bay Area to compete at Stanford's The Goodwin after competing at
Cal's inaugural Desimone Invitational two weeks ago where they finished 12th.
Sandwiched between the Utes' two Northern California trips was
a productive outing in Georgia at the 46th annual Schenkel Invitational, where Utah Golf played their best three-day round of the spring slate, taking first place.
Utah finished 54 holes at 21-under 843, cementing their first tournament title of the 2025-26 season, and their third top-three finish of the competitive year in a performance they hope to repeat this week.
The Utes were led from the jump by senior
Brandon Robison who posted a 5-under 67 in round one and a 7-under 65 in day two to remain bogeyless through the first 36 holes of the Schenkel, and ultimately coming away with a tie for fifth while going 9-under 207 for the entire three days of play.
Robison's inspired play started at the Desimone where he carded an 8-under 208 to take a seventh-place tie over three rounds of golf.
Junior
Sergio Jimenez and senior
Davis Johnson also had impressive moments at the Schenkel, with Jimenez posting back-to-back 5-under 67 efforts in day one and two of play, while Johnson recorded a career-best 8-under 64 on day two.
Junior
Jack Jerge had the strongest day three at the Schenkel of Utah's starting five, carding a 4-under 68.
While the Schenkel was not junior
Gabriel Palacios' best effort, the Utes will also be looking to the
reigning 2025 Goodwin Individual Champion for guidance in the coming days after recording a 5-under performance just a year ago for the win.
