SALT LAKE CITY — The 12th-ranked Utah football team is back at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday night for a Big 12 Conference matchup with Kansas. Kickoff between the Utes (4-0, 1-0 Big 12) and Jayhawks (2-2, 0-1 Big 12) is set for 8:15 p.m. MT on Oct. 10.

UTAH FOOTBALL: NEED TO KNOWS
• Quarterback Devon Dampier has been efficient and effective through the first four games, leading the Big 12 in passing efficiency (172.2) while sitting second in the conference in completion percentage (.703). He ranks in the top half of the conference in passing touchdowns (9, 5th) and passing yards per game (224.0, 7th).Â
• Running back Wayshawn Parker has been all over the field and into the end zone to start the season. The junior ranks third in the Big 12 with 6.56 rush yards per carry, totaling nine touchdowns (4 rec., 5 rush). He was named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week after Utah's 31-17 win at Iowa State two weeks ago, posting 239 all-purpose yards and three total touchdowns.
• After scoring 66, 43, 33 and 31 points in the first four games of the season, Utah has now scored 30 or more points in 10 straight games dating back to the 2025 season, the longest active streak in the FBS of games scoring 30-plus points.
• Utah's defense has given up just seven passing plays of 20+ yards allowed this season, ranking second in the conference and tied for sixth in the FBS.

The Utes had six wins by 30+ points, tying for second-most in the country (Indiana led with eight wins by 30+ points). Utah has a +26.7 average margin of victory through three games so far this season, eighth best in the FBS.
• The Utes' defense has been stout through the first three games of the season, allowing just 41 total points (10.3 ppg, 3rd FBS). The red zone defense ranks 5th in the FBS and 3rd in the Big 12 at 0.667. Utah's rushing defense is giving up just 84.0 ypg (13th FBS, 4th Big 12) after allowing 181.2 ypg in 2025 (108th FBS).
• Utah's offense has been equally as impressive early in the season, ranking 11th in the FBS and third in the conference in total offense at 491.0 ypg. Utah is currently 12th in the FBS in scoring offense and leads the conference with 43.3 ppg.
