SALT LAKE CITY– Utah Golf and the rest of the Big 12 will conclude Big 12 Match Play with the fourth round on Wednesday morning.

Round four bracket play resume tomorrow after being postponed Tuesday afternoon due to weather. Utah will go head-to-head against Colorado in what will be the last matchup for the Utes in Big 12 Match Play with round five being canceled due to time constraints.

Co-champions will be crowned at the conclusion of Wednesday's final fourth round of play.

The Utes played Iowa State to close out pool play earlier Tuesday, falling to the Cyclones 2-3 despite good individual showings from senior Jack Jerge (1UP) and sophomore Jan Farre (4&2).

Match play is unlike the traditional stroke play that Utah will play most of the season. (Utah has already played one round of match play in 2026 at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup to open the season.)

Five golfers from each team compete head-to-head with opponents for the entirety of the course. The golfer who posts a lower score on each hole wins that matchup.

Golfers can lead by more holes than those remaining on the course and earn a victory without playing all 18 holes (3&2, 4&3, 5&4, etc.). In tighter matches, golfers can win by just one stroke requiring play on the final hole (1UP).

Whichever team totals the most individual wins in its specific matchup secures a win for the match and earns three points for a victory.
