THIS WEEK
The Utah Golf team welcomes its 15 conference mates to Salt Lake City for Big 12 Match Play next week from Monday, Oct. 12 through Wednesday, Oct. 14. Match play will take place at the Utes' home course where they practice, The Country Club at Salt Lake City.

"It will be amazing hosting at The Country Club," head coach Garrett Clegg said. "We love this course and are thrilled to be there and showcasing it to the members of the Big 12."

Utah is coming off a fifth-place team finish at the Hamptons Intercollegiate that featured a dominant performance from senior star, Gabriel Palacios who took first place individually with a seven-stroke lead.

Palacios and the Utes will be looking to keep that same energy going at home under soggy conditions as Salt Lake City braces for rain and wind from the remnants of Hurricane Rachel.

"Anything can happen during match play, and the weather predictions only add to that intrigue," Clegg said. "We are excited for whatever challenges come against whichever teams we draw each match this week."

FOR MEDIA AND SPECTATORS
This event is free and open to the public, requiring no tickets for spectators or credentials for working media. There will be no golf carts available for spectators or media, so plan accordingly to walk and deal with inclement weather.

Signage will be available to guide spectators to parking.
